Say NO to Con Ed's Electric Rate Hike!!

It is hard to believe that Con Ed can justify an increase of electrical revenues by $854.4 million.

According to one of Con Ed's recent full page ads, "The Company says that the increase is needed to support continual infrastructure investment, increases in costs outside the Company's control, increased financing costs, costs incurred but deferred for later recovery, and increases in operating costs for new and ongoing programs."

I would like to challenge the section from that statement that says: "increases in costs outside the Company's control."

Protecting Life

Why is the New York City Council proposing a Clinic Access Bill to create a buffer zone between expectant moms and sidewalk counselors who have a history of helping thousands of women make the loving choice to have their children?

The proposed bill is meant to ensure that more women are quickly ushered into abortion clinics – and in New York City, the abortion industry’s target is no different than their target throughout the US : black and Hispanic women.

Volunteers in front of New York City’s abortion clinics, like Monsignor Reilly and God’s Precious Helpers, have made a great impact in the lives of mostly black and Hispanic women who face unplanned pregnancies. Many expectant women who approach abortion clinics feel they have no where to turn for help. Nowhere, that is, until they are greeted by sidewalk counselors who believe women deserve better and deserve support and care to raise their families.
