Bouldin over at Daily Gotham considers my modest proposal and writes:

"To that, I say Huzzah! and go for it. One Love, heh."

The joke-candidate is a time-honored American tradition, which included the Presidential campaigns of humorists like Will Rogers (1928, 1932), W.C. Fields (1940), Gracie Allen (1940) and Pat Paulsen (1968, 1972, 1992, 1996), cartoon characters like Walt Kelly’s Pogo (1952, 1956, 1960, 1968), and Dennis Kucinich (2004, 2008), and swine like Pigasus (1968) and Ralph Nader (1992, 1996, 2000, 2004) . The Citywide ticket of Norman Mailer and Jimmy Breslin (1969) also comes to mind, although they ended up serving the serious and laudable purpose of preventing Herman Badillo from becoming Mayor.

he makes no claim to live in the district...that's why this campaign would have to involve housing him. I hear Azi Paybarah's got space in his apartment.

Ferdinand Zizi should be the unity candidate, he dropped out early so he hasn't spent the money he raised, and he is haitian, which takes away what will be eugene's main argument, that his indiscretions are not worth disenfranchising the haitian community.  With zizi as the unity candidate, the focus can't be on the haitian thing, it can only be on Eugene's problems.  We can help Zizi get his revenge against Eugene and the Clarkes, who conspired to prevent him from being the designated haitian candidate in the first place.

Designated by whom?

Your non Haitian or out of touch Haitian who does not know a thing about the 40th should just shut up and let us who live in the 40 th take care of our issues. You all are being confused about who are the Leadership in the Haitian community.

For the record: Jocelyne Mayas is a has been,. Gary Pierre Pierre,of that Haitian Enquire never was.

BY the way bring on ZIZI.but this time Jocelyne do not threating to get zizi arrested for campaign law violation and or trying to get him fired from his job, just because He believe that endorsing Mathieu was the right and principle thing to do.

Read Rock's post-analysis of the 40th race on here. There was a meeting of Haitian community leaders, Zizi was the one they chose to run as the Haitian candidate, not Eugene. These are people who know all these candidates well, and they preferred Zizi to Eugene. But the Clarkes did not respect that choice and apparently told Matthieu Eugene they'd endorse him even though he did not live in the district. There had been agreement that there should be only one Haitian candidate on the ballot, since with ten people on the ballot they did not want to split the community's vote. And a Haitian with the Clarkes endorsement was worth more than a Haitian without it, so Zizi was the one pressured to drop out. So he did what he felt was the right thing. But in a race that might only have one or two other candidates, the problem of splitting the community vote won't be there. Zizi can thus now make the race as a unity candidate without costing the Haitian community the seat.

I can see how ignorant you are about who's who in the Haitian community.

For the record ZiZI,was recruited by folks who has no bases in the 40th,don't live in Brooklyn, and in some parts don't even live in NY.

This was a coup d'etat in the making ,purely Haitian political behaviors being transplanted in NY politics.

The people in the 40th being sophisticated as they are would have none of that, translating in that overwelming victory for their man, their community workhorse Mathieu Eugene.
