Most elected officials are scum. Its sad but many of them take advantage of tax payers daily. I run several lake tahoe rentals and cabins and they are always after me to donate to thier campaigns and this and that. I will start donating when they bring me a check one day for no reason haha.
Local officials is where it all happends. I really love my local officials because they are one of us. I run a small indian matrimony service. So they are very fair with me and my business.
I believe that all politicians are in it for themselves. I run a custom doors store and I have to pay over 60% in taxes when you tally it all up. I really am tired of the lies and want someone who comes from nothing so at least they know how it feels.
In my country, many of the politicians have been 'collecting' money from honest businesses like mine (I run a bamboo beaded curtains business). This has been going on for many years but there is no oppposition party to oppose the current ruling government.
It is rare to see real politicians daring to haev open and transparent blogs. Most officials who claim they have a real blog are actually PR exercises in disguise. Fortunately, most people can see through these in a heartbeat. I work for a customer reviews business and we are held to a very high standard. It is something we take pride in and I think politicians should do the same.

30 years, that's something. In politics it's important to have someone giving insight news because not many times we get to see the real story and what's going on behind the scenes in politics. I am also one to try to stay on top of my local politics. I also stay up to date on the national political scene also. Being from the state of Tennessee, my personal political views clash with others in my region of the country, but you have to stand up for what you believe in. Keep up the good work and Ill be back. I would have to say, politicians used to be a lot more about running the country, and a lot less about promoting themselves.
