Introducing myself and dumping some info on you

I work in Brooklyn and people in politics have been giving me info that hasn't been making the papers... I thought I'd blog the hell out of them...

Hakeem, Carl, and Tish James?

The tabloid daily papers have been working on a story which I will break here instead.

Letitia James has lent out her Deputy Chief of Staff to Hakeem Jeffries and Carl Andrews to help on their respective campaigns... while on city time and the city dime. Unethical? Illegal?? Let us hear it in the comments section...

Jesse Hamilton and Chris Owens

Jesse Hamilton, running for the Assembly in the 43rd, who unendorsed David Yassky in Brooklyn's 11th CD, has been out campaigning with Chris Owens. Speaking of Senator, I mean, Congre-- I mean, Councilman Yassky ...

Yassky-Bloomberg-- Under Attack!

Monday morning, in the public housing where a press conference was being held, featuring Bloomberg and Yassky, an unforseen attacker struck. While speaking, our Mayor was hit (by an unseen figure)... with half a doughnut.

Yassky claims the culprit is a supporter of Chris Owens. One must ask: why not hit HIM then?

There might even be a story about the flying doughnut in the Daily News or the New York Sun tomorrow... we'll keep you posted on Donutgate as info rolls in...

If it was a donut, must have been a cop. Maybe it was the late James Davis's spirit, getting even with Yassky for not paying bro Geoffrey's $50,000 ransom.

Tish James doesn't even have a Chief of Staff anymore (the last one went to work for Ratner!). The Deputy is a real loser, a disreputable conman if there ever was one. Tish should have never hired this guy, who constantly works against her and she doesn't even know it! But then again, Tish has had a tin ear ever since her election.

I used to work with James's office from time to time on projects, and finally had to ask NOT to have to deal with Martin.  The guy never returns calls, is only in the office a few hours a week, and ALWAYS lies to her about what he's been doing.

Maybe this guy has has some special talent I don't know about, but I heard he's been double-dipping for a while, and James just turns a blind eye to it.

Must be nice to get paid $45K a year for doing nothing.

If this is true, I doubt Tish James "lent him out" since she is not supporting eitiher of these candidates. (She is supposed to endorse Batson on Wednesday according to a press advisory Batson's campaign sent out. ) This is probably an example of too little oversight of a bad staffer, which ultimatly is the responsibility of the elected. Sad sad state of affairs.

he is working for carl andrews and driving sometimes too. When you ask him for a business card he hands you his deputy chief of staff card for tish james.  mmmmmmmmm

not a good look for tish who is anti ratner and carl is pro ratner and pro-corruption

Brooklyn congressional candidate Yvette Clarke falsely represented her income on her federal financial disclosure statements, The Post has learned.

Her 2006 statement listed income as $90,000, standard salary for a City Council member.

But the sum didn't include the additional $10,000 stipend she receives each year for chairing a committee.

She also neglected to mention her retirement fund, valued at $35,000 to $60,000.

"These are issues that are in the process of being amended," said Stefan Friedman, spokesman for Clarke's campaign.

Clarke's mistakes are troubling, says Alex Knott, political editor at the Center for Public Integrity. "It sounds like this is probably an oversight," he said, "but it makes you question what else was left out."

Clarke admitted recently that she did not graduate from Oberlin College, as she had previously claimed.

Tish James must now understand that keeping Ray Martin on her staff is both a conflict of interest and a breach of faith. He cannot hand out council business cards on campaign time, and cannot work on the campaign on city time (unless he is on leave or using vacation time). Batson resigned from Paterson's staff so as not to create ANY conflict.

Ray Martin has long been the trojan horse in Tish's office. Tish has never had a functioning "Chief of Staff." Martin only has a title. The woman who had the "Chief of Staff" title was a mean-spirited do-nothing who made life miserable for the staff. It's understood by most that she even left to work for Ratner. Now she has Ray Martin, who would just as likely work for Tish's next opponent while still on her payroll. Wake up and sniff the truth!
