New York County Republicans Endorse KT McFarland For Senate New York, NY - April 18...Kathleen Troia "KT" McFarland, a top Pentagon official in the Reagan administration who is pursuing the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate, today announced that she has been endorsed by the executive committee of the New York Republican County Committee. The endorsement was made after a forum Monday evening at which all three Republican candidates for U.S. Senate spoke and took questions. Manhattan Republican Chairman James Ortenzio, who moderated the forum, said: "Last night's event provided our executive committee members with an opportunity to hear from each candidate and to learn his or her views on a variety of topics. It was a lively and open exchange, fitting with our style of doing business. Following the two-hour forum, it was the overwhelming conclusion of the committee that KT McFarland is the best candidate in this race. Her fisca
l conservatism and foreign policy credentials make her superbly qualified to challenge the incumbent senator in November."
