The Gateway (A Woody For LATFOR Edition)
“Soon it will be the Renaissance, and we'll all be painting” –Woody Allen
Normally, I’d take a look at a bunch of posts this weak and sparse, and wait at least another day before posting a Gateway, but with reapportionment imminent, it seems best to purge before binging again.
That being said, could there be any better sign that LATFOR is not a real Commission than the fact that the Assembly and Senate lines are not being released together at the same time?

John Sampson takes the moral high ground in an argument, which would impressive, if he were arguing with anyone but Ruby Diaz. Diaz, Sr. Called For Sampson’s Ouster After Heated Exchange On Member Items | City and State www.cityandstateny.com

Haberman gets it right: though Alinsky was a man of the left (though hardly a rigid adherent of any ideology), his tactics were adaptable across the political spectrum, and Gingrich has obviously read "Rules for Radicals" and taken them to heart.
J.J Goldberg whacks right-Zionist delusion: "it’s a fact that those “inner circles” in the Mossad and the rest of the Israeli intelligence community don’t believe Obama is their enemy. They know, and will tell you frankly, that Obama has done more to upgrade U.S. military cooperation with Israel than any president in years. The Israeli leadership, from the top on down, acknowledges it publicly." 'Taking Out' Obama, and Our Slide Into Madness – Forward Thinking – Forward.com blogs.forward.com
I know this may distress some of my friends on the left, but I couldn't give a flying fuck what Fidel Castro has to say about our elections. What does he know about contested elections anyway? Castro lambasts US Republican primary as idiotic www.sfgate.com
(Please note, this comment is without further policy implications. If we engage with Cuba like we did with the Warsaw Pact, the Castros would probably be gone already).
