The Gateway (Ben-GurionCare Edition)
Romney's praises Ben-GurionCare (enacted by a socialist anti-colonialist)
Romney Advisor Dan Senor: "...we should employ any and all measures to dissuade the Iranian regime from its nuclear course, and it is his fervent hope that diplomatic and economic measures will do so. In the final analysis, of course, no option should be excluded.”
The Hazards of Not Reading Gatemouth (Part 1,236):
Even a Stopped Clock Department:
Except for the gratuitous union bashing, the Post Editorial on Chick-Fil-A is right on the money in hitting a point everyone else missed (and I'm kicking myself, since I thought of it in the car and forgot it by the time I sat down to write)--how inherently coercive it is for the Council Speaker to write a letter to NYU urging it to take such an action, when NYU has major business pending before the Council and will so again.
After dissing heavily favored Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez who won big, by endorsing the Vito Lopez-backed Erik Dilan, Eric Adams tries to make "reformers" and liberals forget it by endorsing one of their District Leaders who is clearly in trouble (If the Zali Satmar produce a similar margin to the one in June in a District where most of the other voters have nothing else on the ballot, making up the difference will be a daunting—but not theoretically impossible--task).
I hope District Lincoln Restler wins re-election—the Party’s Exec Committee needs some dissidents to keep things relatively honest--but it would almost be worth seeing him lose to watch Eric Adams’ discomfort when he gets caught playing both sides for self-serving reasons and gets burnt both times for doing so.
Eric Adams lays it on thick and greasy:
Somewhere in Los Angeles someone is sitting in the stands of Dodger Stadium and saying, ‘Darn, I wish I was still in Brooklyn to be where Lincoln Restler is our district leader,’
