I see Spanish stores in Sunset go out of business and get replaced with Chinese ones -- and I see apartment buildings get renovated in a similar fashion as I've seen in more stereotypically gentrifying neighborhoods.
I don't know if I have enough in me to spew about the subject extensively, and since I'm relatively new to NYC I might not have the right, but I really feel too many people are locked up in their own stereotypes of gentrification they pick up through osmosis in Clinton Hill and Park Slope when it's far more complex than that.
