The magnitude of the loss was that it wasn't merely a matter of style over substance, with the debate reading better for Obama than it played. While on paper alone, the debate was far closer, so much in the way of stupidity and distortion was left unchallenged and so many opportunities were just left hanging in the air.

I'm not saying Joe Hynes should be immune to a challenge, but can't we at least do better? It is one thing to attack Vito Lopez, quite another to say he got his girlfriend a “no show job” when everyone knows that Vito's idea of giving his staff a half day off is letting them go home after only twleve hours.
