CM LIU TO HONOR JULIAN ALBERTO RAMON, MARINE CORPS HERO FROM FLUSHING, QUEENS

WHAT:
NYC Council Member Liu will honor the heroism of Julian Alberto Ramon,
a 22-year-old Marine corporal from Flushing who was killed in Iraq.
Julian, a highly-decorated Marine on his second tour of duty, had two
months left to serve in Iraq.

CM Liu will present a citation in his honor to Julian's family at
tomorrow's funeral service. CM Liu has been in touch with the family,
providing assistance. The family has requested assistance in renaming
of the street where Julian grew up on 45th Avenue and Kissena
Boulevard in Flushing, Queens.
