-Business Owners Will Join Maloney in Demanding Aid from Federal, State Governments

and Fair Compensation from Con Ed-

WHAT:   Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney (D-Queens, Manhattan) will release a report outlining the crippling losses business owners are facing as a result of the power outage in western Queens.  Some businesses have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars while Con Ed is only offering $7,000 in compensation.

WHO:            Congresswoman Maloney and the owners and managers of Titan Foods ($200,000+ in losses), Cold Stone Creamery (threatened with closure), Ellopia Press and other businesses TBA.  Jeannine Chanes, General Counsel of From the Ground Up, will talk about the extent to which businesses can claim coverage for losses due to the blackout.
