After the Der Blatt ad controversy, when Christine Quinn was asked to vouch for Brad Lander she released a statement urging all the candidates to "stop using homophobia for personal gain."

But Brad Lander is doing exactly that on other candidates. His official operatives in Boro Park running around telling anyone - who'll listen - that Heyer's views on social issues are as liberal as Lander's - using homophobia as a scare tactic, presumably for Lander's personal gain. He even sent out a flyer about Heyer's position on same-sex marriage. See attached file.

Lander was On last Saturday's Dov Hikind Radio Show, Dov and his crew went to extraordinary efforts to portray John Heyer as no more socially conservative than Mr. Lander, while Lander mostly sat in silence.

Can Lander have it both ways, and still get a pass from Christine Quinn?
