An upside to Senate gridlock for NYC taxpayers!

Today, July 1 a $500 million NYC sales tax hike was scheduled to go into effect. However due to the gridlock in the NY State Senate they couldn't pass the tax hike. So if you buy anything in New York City today it will be a half a percent cheaper than it would have been if not for the Senate coup!

So at least while those idiots in Albany argue us shoppers in New York City can save a few bucks. Every month they argue saves New York City consumers $60 million in taxes.

I for one hope those morons running the show in Albany keep babbling, because you know as soon as they stop arguing with each other the 1st thing they are going to do is raise our taxes.

So give thanks to our Senators for the chaos and enjoy our tax brake while we can!

weren't the only things they agreed to pass a raise in traffic fine surcharges and some other fee increase.  if they stay out of session for a hundred years it's fine for the taxpayers.  we need a concon; unicameral legislature; proportional representation; term limits and popular initiatives; independent committee for apportionment; an independent ig for the legislators.
