Today's Siena New York poll brings more bad news for Gov. Eliot Spitzer. In short:

- He gets creamed (50-37) in a hypothetical head-to-head match-up with Democrat-turned-Republican-turned independent Mayor Bloomberg, who will be term-limited out of office in 2009 but has said he has no interest in running for governor in 2010.

When the same question was posed to Siena poll respondents in June, Spitzer led Bloomberg 43-41.
