Kevin Powell Trolling for Recruits on CL?! GIMME A BREAK?!?!?

So, I think this was commented on already, but I figured I'd throw my 2 cents in. The Kevin Powell of Congress campaign posted the following Job "Opportunity" on Craigslist:

http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/etc/819039882.html

So, apparently the Kevin Powell campaign is SOOOOOO desparate for Primary Day volunteers, they have to resort to trolling CL and handing out a supposed campaign "fellowship."

"Fellows will be placed in leadership positions and given the opportunity to play a hands-on role in winning a new vision and new direction for Brooklyn's 10th Congressional District."

Wow, so the campaign has resorted to giving out "fellowships" to some "20 candidates to join his core Election Day team."

Yikes. Talk about f*cking absolute desperation.

See, for good, sensible, and viable campaigns, you don't need to throw around phony "fellowships" to get people to come out and support you on election day by doing polling station canvassing.

Then again, the Powell campaign is the same campaign that loves using fuzzy words to describe Powell himself, saying he was "educated" at Rutgers (Nevermind the fact he never actually followed-through and actually got a degree. He was kicked out for pulling a knife ... on a woman!! That's a big man there for you).

First, a word of advice for anyone thinking of competing for 1 of the 20 highly respected, well-known, revered fellowship opportunities: hold out for cash. Because, only a few weeks ago, Powell was willing to pay the campaign workers of Towns to come work for him. No shit! Check it out below, a report from the Towns campaign that Erica Perkins - Powell's Campaign Manager - did not refute!!!

This is just more underhanded politics from the Powell campaign. First, they attack teenage volunteers. Now, they are going around like snakeoil salesman, throwing around fake titles and fake fellowships. This is further proof that the Powell campaign is running on fumes.

And second, a piece of advice for you Kevin: first you need to get elected before folks will fall for a ploy like this. And since everyone in Brooklyn knows your campaign is a joke, getting elected is highly unlikely anyway.

BTW, I hope you had fun selling your books in Dallas this week, at least this sham of a campaign will hopefully generate some $$$ in your pocket.

Spread the word ... please, please everyone ...
