I heard on WCBS News this morning that there was a ruling handed down from Washington that cancer would NOT be covered under the Zadroga Bill.

You must know what a crock this is, and those first responders suffering from 9/11-related maladies, this is further insult to injury.

The Twin Towers were publicly known to be asbestos-laden, and the cost to remove said asbestos was predicted to have been costly. Take from that what you wish.

Understandably, many have been upset by this ruling, myself included. I personally know a firefighter who, before the event in question, could run up the Statue of Liberty to the torch without breaking sweat.

I can only hope that he'll see his children through college.

Washington is welcome to its own opinions, but NOT its own facts - and cancer is absolutely a by-product of the destruction of those buildings that formerly comprised the World Trade Center complex.

Don't fall for this, New Yorkers - show your appreciation for those who selflessly put themselves into harm's way and get them some justice.
