Where Was I On September 11th, 2001?
James Laffrey of EqualPartyUSA http://equalpartyusa.wordpress.com/ requested that I expand upon my experiences in regards to what was going through my mind during the events of September 11th, 2001. I was born in Brooklyn, New York. I lived just outside what is now referred to as DUMBO. On the morning of September 11th, 2001, I was listening to the Howard Stern Show, when the broadcast was interrupted by news that an airplane had just hit one of the Twin Towers. I looked outside the window facing the Manhattan Bridge. I saw the smoke rising in the distance. I then turned on the television, and saw the impact of the collision. Not long after that, at 9:03 AM, a second plane hit the second tower. My niece had gone to school that morning. All we could think was that we needed to get her home...but then, a disturbing thought crossed my mind. At that time, I lived near the top of a high-rise building. What if...there were more that the eight aircraft (at the time, there were reported to be as many as eight hijacked aircraft, but that number was reduced to four), and the aim was to produce as much carnage as possible? I would posit that high-rise buildings would prove to be as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. My niece arrived safely home. We shut every window, and sealed them as best as possible. The smell of human flesh, along with destroyed office materials, asbestos, concrete and steel still managed to reach us, albeit very minutely. I then put in a blank tape in our VCR, and recorded the entire day from the CBS broadcast. When the first building disappeared, I immediately noticed that it was the second building impacted...and that was hit in the corner...so how could it possibly come down in so straight a fashion? 33 minutes later, the second building pulled a David Copperfield. I knew, from this point, that the buildings were brought down by way of controlled demolition. Now, at the time, I was not aware of the CNN broadcast, nor of the BBC broadcast which spoke of the collapse of the Saloman Brothers building, known as WTC 7. What I did, soon after, was to go to J&R's bookstore, and I purchased What We Saw, a book published by CBS Broadcasting, which included a DVD depicting the events of the day. I have also recently downloaded the entire events of that day as a 42-gigabyte series of video from every news source. This morning, I listened to Richard Gage's newest video offering, AE911Truth Experts Speak Out. I would absolutely endorse your viewing of this video. It runs two hours and nineteen minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW6mJOqRDI4 Please take the time to view this video; but if you don't have the time to watch the whole thing now, please skip to the 1:30 (one hour, thirty minute) mark. What he has done, which I believe makes this video vastly superior to past efforts, is to discuss the term of COGNITIVE DISSONANCE. He allows a number of psychologists to discuss their experiences. I believe that we are all better for this effort. I'll be at the Feast of San Gennaro, enjoying some chocolate cannoli. Be well, everyone.
