The Drug War Is On The Non-Affluent

Good morning, and a belated Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

It's Black Friday - what did you purchase today?

I found a very interesting YouTube clip - click on the following paragraph to check it out:

America - Embrace Liberty Or Face Self-Destruction

I mentioned once before, that I don't drink the Kool-Aid.

That doesn't mean that I don't pay attention to the ingredients:

Politics Abhors A Vacuum

The United States needs to be an honest broker in regards to affairs in the Middle East.

We are failing in that regard.

When one creates a vacuum, that vacuum does not persist - it is filled.

After Hurricane Sandy

I hope most of you are well in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. I have a friend who just moved out to the Rockaways with his lovely wife - I haven't yet heard from them.

I know of someone who lost his home out in the Rockaways - my prayers and best wishes go out to him.

I want to thank our elected officials for their planning before, during and after this latest storm. I believe a lot of lives were saved.

Could Mittens Pull A VoteScam?

Pushy is the word for today.

Pushy is all I could think of when catching snitches of the debate last night between the incumbent, President Barack Hussein Obama, and his challenger, former governor Willard Mitt Romney. In saying this, one may also opine that moderator Candy Crowley did not act in an even-handed fashion between the two - but considering the tactics of the challenger, I don't know how it could have been possible to do so.

Playing Genetic Roulette With Your Body? I Smell A Crap-Out

I had a great time at my reunion this weekend, despite my not being in the best of shape. I did get to see quite a number of my fellow classmates, though I couldn't make the rounds completely - please forgive me, you guys.

I read a number of stories that really made me get up and speak to my mom in regards to the dangers of artificial sweeteners, specifically Splenda. Without further ado:

Stop Using Splenda - Tuesday, October 09, 2012 by: Melissa A. Bartoszewski, DC

Vincent Nunes Does NOT Have A Police Record!

I would like to begin this with a thank-you to Officer Cahill and his partner.

Now, I won't get into the specifics of our impromptu meeting, but what I will divulge is that I haven't a record in regards to the Police Department of New York City.

Nothing. Nada. Ziparoonie.

That is a badge of honour I will proudly wield.

Censoring A Voice Of Reason

Well, here I go again, as I open myself to attack from heretofore unknown quarters; but I was outraged when I heard about this.

Anthony Watts is the voice of the website Watts Up With That?, a site dedicated to discussing climate change, among other things. from its own blurb: "The world's most viewed site on global warming and climate change".

Well, after reading one of his recent postings,

September 11th - 11 Years Come And Gone

As we approach the 11th year since the most horrific terrorist attack to take place on America's shores, I ask you to look back to the other events that have shaped America:

Why Hizzoner's Sugary Drink Ban Is Simply A Money Grab For The Soda Companies

I hope everyone's enjoying their summer.

Before I begin, let's revisit the subject of this story:

James Traficant – A Real American Hero

I promised this piece some time ago, and what better day to present this than on Memorial Day?

“The trouble with politics is that not enough people are involved.”

Jim was a quarterback with an impressive record.

He later became a sheriff in Youngstown, Ohio, where he contends that the local mobsters were in collusion with the FBI. Due to his contention, he was indicted, a case he beat.
