Reverend Al Sharpton on Michael Jacksons Death

The Reverend Al Sharpton was quick to call a press conference today in front of the Apollo theatre in Harlem. The historic theatre where the Jackson 5  once performed when they were first embarking on their journey in the entertainment business. A journey that would eventually take Michael Jackson to historic heights making him the most famous Pop music artist in the world.

If you remember Sharpton supported Jackson in his campaign against Sony music heads who he felt mishandled promotion of his last album. Sharpton spoke out against what he called "exploitation of black artists" It was at a press event organized by National Action Network that Michael called Sony music head Tommy Mottola "racist".

Al Sharpton on Michael Jacksons death:

"Michael Jackson made culture accept a person of color way before Tiger Woods way before ,Oprah Winfrey, way before Barack Obama...no controversy will erase the historic impact"

Al Sharpton went on to say that he was interested in helping to have a wake/celebration at the Apollo just like they had with James Brown.

O Michael, I hope u were not always sad, That there were times when yr heart was glad, That there were times when the light shone thru, Times when u were comfortable with u.  I love yr work u were truly talented, In the hearts of yr fans u are cemented, Throughout the world u made people happy, Even though yr own life had controversy. O Michael, my heart grieves for u, I can't even believe that it is true, That yr time is up so soon, U went back to yr Maker this afternoon. I am glad that God was good to u, By setting u free with chances new, This is such a sad day in history, The positives and the negatives create a mystery. Tears have been shed for u today, The world is in shock and great dismay, A genius and an icon has gone away, For yr "comeback show" u couldn't stay. U sang, u danced, u wrote, u played, The young, the old, couldn't help being swayed, O Michael, to the world u gave so much, I hope some joy yr soul did touch. Michael, O Michael, there's groaning here today, We're gonna miss u in no small way, thanks for the legacy u left for us, I'll always LOVE the moon walk, for me that was tops! The "King of Pop" left without closing the door, You'll always be remembered for the great entertainer u were, Michael, O Michael, The world has lost a STAR.

It is bewildering that anytime anything black hits the light of day Al Sharpton is half a step behind it. "Blacksploitation" is a great term to refer to sharpton. Michael Jackson, Barack Obama, The Jena 6, OJ..all of it turned into a circus, oh the Duke University BS, let's not forget that.

And when that turned out to be a false accusation did that racist biggot turn and defend the boys and condemn the accuser for trying to get paid on the blood of innocents? noooooo..instead he hid till Don Imus said his dirty words....

Al Sharpton is truley a waste of space in our society. That someone so illiterate is given a "soapbox' is a testament to the flock of sheep Americans have become.

Al,  how do you seriously call yourselfa reverend??  What part of God's teachings are you practicing or preaching? If you really believe that we should be respecting Michael Jackson for what he tried to accomplish here on earth, you'd stop trying to create a racial divide once again.  Michael understood the meaning of love and uniting people.  Maybe you can learn something from him.

By the way,  Elvis Presley's death created the same frenzi in the media surrounding his drug use as well, so what are you talking about the unfairness being done to Michael?  YOU create more nonsense then anyone else out there.

Two long-dead men who have not the decency to lie down and go away. They are quite adept at finding a camera and making a statement that only they find meritorious. Remember Alfred Neuman? ? Thats Al & the self-proclaimed "reverend" Jackson. Wonder where these two are working to earn their living??

Al told MJ's kids, "Your father weren't strange"...???? WTF??  What a master-linguist Al Sharpton is! Good thing he is an example for all with his mastery of the English language!

Al Sharpton is a pathetic windbag with outdated ideals and a desire to keep racism going. Think about it he would be out of a job. The Michael Jackson services were lovely with the exception of Al Sharpton. This is a new era with new ideas, segragation is gone and so is Martin Luther King. Rosa Parks came and sadly left us but did what needed to be done. America is "healing" America is uniting, Al Sharpton is teaching a new generation about racism. I don't like that. Time to put this mouthy windbag out to pasture. For all that follow him, don't follow your own heart and dreams, believe all is possible and that given the change there is good in all. EXPECT THE BEST and not fear the worst...
