How Dumb Do The Leaders Of The Independence Party Think We Are?In today’s Politicker, we read the following – Jackie Salit, head of the Independence Party in New York City, said Obama has lost touch with the independent voter and has been too focused on tending to the Democratic base. Salit, in an email to supporters this morning, said that Obama could lose the White House if he keeps this up. Fun fact that Ms. Salit does not want us to remember – The Independence Party candidate for President in 2008 was John McCain Please do your homework, there is a huge difference between the state and city faction. They are a top down organization, the IP of New York City is a bottom up organization.
So Salit and the other cult members commenting above admit that the Independence Party endorsement does not get you support from independent voters?

Actually the City Party is ardently progressive, and the hearts and minds of most of the members and leadership of the City IP were with Obama. Unfortunately the City IP has little say in who the State IP endorses. MacKay is a tool of the Republican Party and the Realestate interests. The City IP under Stewart, Salit, Fulani, is rigerously independent.
