..it wasn't only Hikind's AD; Spencer got 49% in the mostly Orthodox Village of Lawrence as well--and elevated Orthodix support elsewhere.
But, if you read the piece, you'd already know I was advising that Obama avoid pandering to Orthodox Jews and right wing Zionists, and stick to the Jewish mainstream, where, thanks in part to jerks like Lancman, he'll have enough trouble making his perfectly acceptable views on Israel seem OK.
And though I was not the one to bring up Florida, the truth is that a Democrat cannot carry it without overwhelming Jewish support (he ain't picking up votes from the Crackers)--60% probably won't be enough. My guess is it's beyong Obama's ability to win.
But State's like Ohio and Pennsylvainia are not, and the Jewish vote, though small in mubers amy well prove crucial. So, this is a real concern.
