Sorry to double post, but I did not see the post that appears just before mine, regarding Chan. The anonymous poster is misinformed, as my earlier post makes clear. The idea that a judicial candidate should not have a platform is untrue.
Second, the respondent states that Ms. Chan instructed people at a forum on how to beat their landlords. That is also not correct. I instructed people at the forum on how to beat their landlords, which is the same talk I gave at the courthouse at the invitation of the Civil Court Administrative Judge. Ms. Chan gave a five-minute speech at the same gathering to discuss her stand for right to counsel in housing court.
If you disagree or find offensive the statements that were made by the Chan campaign, then I assume you availed yourself of your rights at the voting booth.
