I don't know this from any inside information, just from knowing how the Post usually works, if Bruno wasn't at the most recent funerals, than they can't very well bring up Shelly again, lest they want to expose Bruno's absence. That would mean they would spill the water they usually bear for the GOP. Was Bruno at these most recent funerals? If so, then I agree with your assessment of having the one shot. That, and the fact the cop in December was from NYC, not somewhere else in the state.
