DanielNYC...if you read the post, it starts with the sorry state of the GOP in NYC. My point was that one of the reasons for this is the leader of the party--he is not popular here, even among the more conservative members of the population and even many Republicans. As I mentioned in my first post no issue (vouchers or anything else) is going to fix the party's fundamental popularity problem. The Rove strategy, to brilliantly fool ignorant small-minded fundamentalists to support Neo-Cons who screw the poor, essentially wrote off state GOPs in places like New York.
