The growing abuse of government-issued vehicle placards has finally gotten the attention of the one person whom privileged parkers have to fear: Mayor Bloomberg.
Bloomberg said municipal workers "shouldn't be treated any differently than somebody working in the private sector," except for those in emergency roles.

FYI----- most parking permits go to cops who use them to park illegally and recklessly in front of their houses in the 5 boroughs. I know because I see it every day in front of the hydrant.
