CFB ASSESSES PENALTIES AGAINST THREE CAMPAIGNS
 
 
November 29,
2007 - During a regularly scheduled meeting today, the Campaign Finance
Board assessed separate penalties against three campaigns.
 
Penalties were
assessed against three 2005 City Council campaigns: Bill de Blasio, Pamela
Junior, and Domenic Recchia.  For a complete list, see below.
 
The Board reduced
a penalty assessed against 2005 mayoral candidate C. Virginia Fields in July
2007 for a late response to the draft audit from $43,800 to $10,000. 
The law limits the penalty for such a violation to $10,000.
