The Journal News is reporting on the loss of clout by Democratic Members of the NY House delegation in the Republican-controlled Congress.

Congressman Jose Serrano doesn't get it!

Congressman Jose Serrano was the only New York area congressman to vote against the rescue plan.

The question I have is he really that stupid or is he just a demagogue?

Does Rep. Serrano have any idea what the market's havoc has done to the NYS and NYC budgets? Does he understand the extent on New York's tax revenues that come from Wall Streets bonuses? Does he think Lehman's bankruptcy and AIG's problems have been good for New York? Does he want to see more financial institutions based in New York fail?
