The banks in the United States have stopped lending money.  This leads one to ask what then is their purpose, to operate ATM machines?  What this actually signals is the end of the economic system known as private enterprise capitalism.  Government must step in, not entirely but in many instances, to fill the void left behind by banks.  The government must start to offer low interest short term loans to small businesses, loans for homeowners and even loans for people to start a business to name but a few products abandoned by the banks.

Many New York Consumers are being scammed by various Internet companies offering Acai Berry Nutritional Supplement Products. New York consumers need to be aware of the following facts:

• When you purchase many of the Acai Berry Nutritional Products advertised by emails, Pop-ups, or on the Internet there is a 14 day trial period to cancel the membership. If a consumer fails to cancel their membership in the auto shipment of the product, their credit or debit card will be charged automatically. Unfortunately most consumers are not aware that they have "opted in" to an auto ship membership so they are shocked when their credit or debit cards are charged amounts of money from $49 to almost $100.00.
• If you have recently ordered an Acai Berry product from such companies as Natures Acai, FWM Labs, Advanced Wellness Research Inc, Central Coast Nutraceuticals or others and it is less than 14 days from the time you ordered call the customer service number and cancel your membership or you will be charged.
• If you have tried to call to cancel the charges but could not cancel them because you could not get through to anyone at the company because of busy signals or because you have left voice mail messages where your calls have not been returned, notify your bank immediately of the fraudulent charges on your credit/debit card and ask to have the charges refunded. Also ask the bank to place a "fraud alert" on your credit card to protect you from future fraudulent charges.
• If you either tried to cancel the membership or actually did cancel the membership and were still charged a monthly fee, notify the state Attorney General's Office in New York...(518) 474-5481 or (800) 771-7755 in NY as well as the Federal Trade Commission...www.ftc.gov to file charges against the company
